MDF Nation Foundation is looking for an intern. We are offering internships to individuals wishing to gain hands on training experience and make meaningful connections in sports. Our internship program is built to develop future leadership talent that reflects our diverse community. The internship program is a paid opportunity that allows participants to contribute to the organization's success while practicing the knowledge and theories learned in the classroom.

The Athletic Training Intern will:

• Work directly with athletes on strength & conditioning, speed & agility and mentorship

. • Assists with documenting fitness development plans

• Assists in daily tasks including calendar, events, social media, marketing, and administrative duties.

• Helps set up and break down of daily activities.

The Administrative Intern will:

  • Work directly with athletes, parents, and trainers admin details

  • Assist trainers with scheduling

  • Work with trainers on social media

  • Assist with event planning, filing, grant writing and more

Required Qualifications, Abilities and Skills:

• Ability to work a non-standard workweek, including weekends

• Communicates orally and in writing in a clear, concise, manner

•Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, while balancing and prioritizing multiple or competing tasks.

• Punctuality and accountability are essential for all aspects of an intern's role.

•Detail-oriented self-starter with proven ability to learn new skills.

• USA Football certification (MDF will provide certification)

  • A background check is required for hired interns.

Education and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited College Program

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The Intern will be in an indoor/outdoor facility most of the time and may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The intern is frequently required to sit, use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, gym equipment, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The intern is frequently required to stand, walk, and lift to 50 pounds. The position requires the employee to be local.
